Location: Commutable to Wakefield (office based with some flexibility for hybrid working)

Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the Technical Engineer – Aluminium Glazing & Facades Systems will involve:

* Technical Engineer position dealing with the installation, servicing and maintenance of a range of aluminium systems

* Offering front line technical support to customers, installers and internal staff

* Provide AutoCAD drawings for projects and products

* Carry out wind loading and thermal calculations when required

* Carry out role, keep files and records according to our ISO9000 procedures and good practice

* Production of manual page updates and technical bulletins when required

* Production and delivery of training for in-house colleagues and external stakeholders

* Carry out site visits and production of detailed reports and solutions for second-level support requests

* Organisation and supervision of product manufacture for in-house and external testing

The ideal applicant will be Technical Engineer – Aluminium Glazing & Facades Systems with:

* Must have engineering / design experience within the aluminium systems market sector

* Experience with any of the relevant aluminium system houses

* Must have AutoCAD experience

* Sound understanding of technical calculations (bend, stress, deflection etc)

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* Full UK driving license

* IT literate (Microsoft Office)

* Excellent planning, organisation, time management skills
