Technical Sales Engineer - Machine Vision & Industrial Automation - Internally Based

A leading provider of machine vision systems is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to work in their Oxford-based office, working on the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to product installation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on inbound and warm inquiries.
  • Work with the sales and engineering teams to create detailed proposals, technical presentations and solutions.
  • Proactively reach out to potential customers through phone calls, emails, and social media.
  • Build and maintain existing accounts.
  • Carry out meetings or demos with qualified prospects.
  • Work with the sales team to build strategies to reach sales targets.
  • Continuously update your knowledge of our products and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the development of sales collateral and materials.
  • Attend industry events or trade shows to network and identify potential leads.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or lead generation in a highly technical discipline.
  • Educated to degree level preferably in an Engineering, Business or Marketing discipline.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales tools.
