We are seeking a Solutions Engineer, reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager. This technical expert possesses in-depth knowledge of the defense market, related applications, equipment, and a strong understanding of the company's products and technologies. The role is cross-functional, covering all entities within the group, and involves developing sales by providing technical expertise and building trusted client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical support and expertise to sales teams.
• Conducting technical demonstrations, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving technical issues.
• Identifying potential synergies between entities based on targeted applications.
• Acting as the interface between local technical support teams, sales teams, and customers to understand needs and present tailored solutions.
• Collaborating with internal teams such as Field Application Engineers and Product Managers to ensure solutions are feasible and meet customer requirements.
• Contributing to product roadmaps across Business Units.
• Providing market insights to the Defense Market Manager.
• Sharing data on competitors, customer needs, programs, and stakeholders with Business Units.

The Profile

Desired Skills and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience with a dual engineering and commercial background.
• Background in Radio Frequency and Optical connectivity technologies.
• Native English speaker; proficiency in French is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Willingness to travel at least 30% for customer meetings and opportunity development.
• This is a hybrid role, requiring flexibility to work partly remotely and from the office. Candidates should ideally be based within the Home Counties.
