Overview
Technical Support Engineer - Warwick. Telent Technology Services Ltd seeks a 1st Line Support Engineer to join a 24x7 System Management Team supporting TPCMS. The role involves on-site and on-call support, a 12-hour shift rotation, and contributing to a continuous improvement program to deliver secure and reliable services to customers.
Responsibilities
- Configuration and replacement of data centre equipment such as Cisco and Juniper firewalls, Cisco switches, Cisco and Dell server hosts while maintaining system operation.
- Provide both on-site and on-call support capacity for TPCMS with an ability to travel throughout the UK.
- Proactively monitor the availability, performance, and security of TPCMS as part of a 24x7 team.
- Address TPCMS issues either by resolving the issue or assigning to internal staff (engineers) or external providers (such as suppliers of equipment) to resolution.
- Proactively engage with all members of the System Management Team to support a continuous improvement program for TPCMS and the service provided with the customer.
- Ensure all Service Level Agreement targets are exceeded.
- Support the transition of the TPCMS service to other parties by aiding the development and training needs of candidates.

- Organized, proactive and diligent 1st Line Support Engineer with a focus on solution-finding and teamwork. This role is suited for someone looking to grow in IT support.
- Adaptable with strong communication skills to thrive in a 12-hour shift rotation.
- Willingness to develop technical experience and contribute to the team\'s success.
- Key Requirements:
- Vendor certification in VMware, MS Windows System Support, Cisco (LAN/WAN), Juniper, IP Trade.
- McAfee SIEM Security knowledge.
- IT / ICT further education.
