Overview

Mobile Telemetry Engineer - Tamworth. Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:00, 42.5 hours per week. We are looking for a passionate Mobile Telemetry Engineer to take ownership of telemetry systems across our territories and support a fast-paced, customer-focused business. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and managing telemetry systems on Speedy’s assets.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, and management of telemetry installations on Speedy assets.
  • Provide a quality service, product and control mechanism in the Northern Speedy territories.
  • Lead the synergy between all Speedy Categories and engineering functions that adopt and use telemetry.
  • Ongoing quality control of telemetry devices fixed to Speedy assets.
  • Creation and maintenance of a telemetry installation guide.
  • Development and continuous adaptation of training material and practical sessions for Speedy engineers.
  • Provision of telemetry training to others, as required.
  • Liaison with others in the Speedy team to ensure availability in the network.
  • Development and maintenance of collaborative key relationships across divisions.
  • Assisting in development of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Customer-facing activities as required.

Requirements

  • Full driving licence.
  • Previous experience working with single and three-phase AC electrics, ideally in the hire industry or a similar engineering field (preferred).
  • 12VDC and 24VDC electrics fault finding and ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • Understanding of basic engine communication systems (CAN bus and MOD bus).
  • Proficient computer skills and use of telemetry platforms.
  • Ability to write technical reports; able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight when required.
  • Ability to support the business unit/team to deliver ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
  • Other industries considered: Auto Electrician, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician, Electrical Installer.
