This is a unique opportunity for an engineering student to develop and test a broad range of skills in a thriving environment.As a Design Engineer Student Placement, you will immerse yourself in essential engineering processes, including:Developing and testing 3D CAD design work and producing technical drawings.Engaging in development testing and computer simulation, specifically using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Participating in our comprehensive induction programme and specialised CAD training course (PTC Creo) to equip you with the skills you need for your projects.Collaborating within our open-plan office environment, fostering effective communication and teamwork.Working with external suppliers and various departments such as Purchasing, Quality, Assembly, and Manufacturing, enhancing your industry-relevant skills.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:Currently enrolled in an Engineering-related degree programme.Able to work on-site in Hinckley 5 days per week.Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.Preferably studying a degree accredited by the IMechE, meeting the academic requirements of a Chartered Engineer (CEng).This position is based in Hinckley, and we offer a range of benefits to our industrial placement students, including:A strong track record of industrial placement students progressing to full-time positions after graduation.Access to our IMechE accredited Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS), supported by a network of Chartered mentors dedicated to your growth.Free parking, early finish on Fridays, discounted canteen, free tea & coffee, discounted Triumph clothing, and more.Full details of the job description and person specification can be found in the downloadable job files.
