MY CLIENT:

My client, a successful engineering organisation, needs a additional Test and Development Engineer with a strong, hands-on engineering background, experience of testing and development of mechanical and electrical equipment and good problem solving skills.

This would suit someone looking for an interesting engineering role involving hands-on elements as well as test planning, analysis, reporting and development. You will work in a focussed engineering team with excellent facilities at your disposal to ensure the companies technologies and products continue to meet the highest levels of quality, performance and specification in response to customer requirements.

THE ROLE:

In this role you will:

Plan and execute testing of equipment and processes, reporting on performance, quality, relaibility and safety factors.

Investigate faults, issues and non-conformances, communicating clearly with colleagues to find and implement resolutions.

Support internal teams and customers to optimisse how customers use their systems and technologies.

Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions and risk assessments, continuoally improving the effectiveness and value of testing.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful Engineer will have:

- Engineering experience in hands-on testing and development activities.

- Background in development / R&D / test engineering.

- An engineering qualification - HNC/D or graduate would be suitable.

- Able to work to structured methods in a logical manner with high attention to detail

- Ability to suggest developments and improvements to working processes and testing.

- Ability to analyse test results.

- A collaborative approach to with cross functional project teams, other departments and customers
