Job Overview
Functions Technology is building a sophisticated next-generation surveillance solution on top of a distributed data platform. Pune (India) and Belfast (United Kingdom) are the global hubs for creating feature-based surveillance algorithms using cutting-edge technologies and techniques.

The global Surveillance Technology team at Citi has an increased workload that requires additional business lines, countries, and more sophisticated surveillance methods to be delivered using our strategic platforms. These platforms enable users to monitor trading activity across multiple asset classes and information barriers, in real-time, end of day, and via historic lookup bases for indications of potential Market Abuse, Insider Dealing, and other types of fraud. The volume and complexity of data involved in these surveillances, and the algorithms' sophistication, make this one of the most challenging and appropriate use cases for big data technologies.

As we further expand global coverage and deliver more sophisticated Behavioral Analytics-based solutions, we are seeking Test Automation Engineers to join our team in Belfast.

The successful candidate will be an established automation testing expert, with a strong background working in technology teams to test, deliver, and roll out automation. You will work closely with the Engineering Lead and QEs of other Teams under Trade Surveillance to contribute to identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance quality deliverables.

What you'll do

1. Be part of an Agile team working on a sophisticated next-generation surveillance solution.
2. Work with multiple stakeholders from different teams daily.
3. Participate in scrum ceremonies.
4. Conduct testing (Functional + automation).
5. Work on test automation frameworks - UI & backend.

What we'll need from you

1. Strong analytical skills.
2. Solid understanding and proven experience in Quality Engineering.
3. Experience working in CI/CD pipeline environments.
4. Solid understanding of SQL.
5. Expertise in Automation with Java / Python.
6. Hands-on experience building Automation Frameworks.
7. Excellent communication skills.
