Test Engineer (Contract)
Location: Surrey
Contract Type: Up to £48ph Inside IR35
Contract Length: 6 Months

Role Overview

• Carry out IPC-level inspections of electronic assemblies.
• Test hardware, software, and firmware, capturing and reporting results.
• Operate a broad range of equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, etc.).
• Fault-find and repair down to component level.
• Provide clear feedback, document discrepancies, and maintain compliance records.
• Support safe, organised, and efficient assembly/test areas.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver on high-profile project deadlines.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or electronics test environment.
• Defence sector background (highly desirable).
• IPC inspection certification.
• Strong analogue and digital fault-finding/repair skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and test specifications.
• Organised, self-motivated, and an effective communicator.
• SC security clearance (current or previously held).
