Role Overview ETL Systems is entering a pivotal phase of accelerated growth, and we are looking for a
hands-on, technically skilled Test & Repair Engineer
to join our team in Hook, Hampshire. This is a key role within our engineering function, offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of satellite communications technology while contributing directly to the performance and reliability of our High Power Amplifier (HPA) product range. This is not a static or routine position.
It is a developing role that will evolve alongside the business, offering significant scope for career progression. As we scale our operations, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of complex testing and repair tasks, and grow with us into more senior technical or leadership roles. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager , you will work in close partnership with colleagues across Engineering, Production, and even the co-founders of the business. This cross-functional collaboration is essential to ensuring seamless product development, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-quality solutions to our global customer base. Key Accountabilities Your responsibilities will include executing pre-delivery acceptance testing, performing RF validation and compliance testing, and supporting the alignment and optimisation of travelling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs). You will also be involved in fault diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and the development of both manual and automated test procedures to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Our ideal candidate This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in RF or power electronics, who is confident using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and network analysers. You should be comfortable reading schematics and technical documentation, and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to troubleshooting and repair.
