OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Trade Operations and Systems Engineer to oversee and optimise day-to-day CFD trading operations, with a focus on trade execution monitoring, system automation, and development of trading P&L, open positions, and trade reconciliation. This role sits at the intersection of trading technology and operational risk management and requires a candidate with both deep technical capabilities and strong domain knowledge in FX and CFD trading.The successful candidate will ensure seamless and accurate trade execution, settlement, and reconciliation. The position requires hands-on experience with CFD trading platforms and related technologies, database management, and FIX protocol integration, as well as the ability to streamline operational workflows through coding and automation. The candidate should be proficient in supporting front-office trading teams and aligning back-office processes with regulatory standards and data accuracy requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage CFD/FX trade executions, including real-time monitoring of trade flow and open positions across platforms.Maintain and improve systems for automated calculation of profit and loss (P&L), margin usage, and open positions using C++, Python, SQL, and related technologies.Develop robust automated workflows for trade settlement, transaction reconciliation, and risk exposure tracking.Ensure high system availability, stability, and performance for trading applications.Troubleshoot and optimise operational workflows across front, middle, and back-office environments.Integrate and manage trade bridge connections and APIs for trading execution and post-trade operations.Resolve issues related to trade discrepancies, latency, or order mismatches in FIX messaging.Assist in onboarding new liquidity providers and counterparties via FIX protocol and bridging platforms.Data Management, Reporting & Reconciliation: Maintain relational databases for large volumes of trade data, implement ETL pipelines to ensure data accuracy between internal systems and third-party platforms, and create dashboards/reports using Power BI or Tableau.Conduct daily reconciliation between front-office systems, back-office, custodians, and liquidity providers.Compliance, Documentation & Operational Risk: Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR); maintain detailed technical documentation; proactively identify and resolve operational risk incidents or anomalies in trading processes.Required Qualifications And Experience2–5 years of experience in CFD/FX operations, trading systems engineering within the brokerage or banking industry.Solid understanding of CFD and FX trading instruments, market structure, and execution workflows.Hands-on experience with trading platforms including MT4/MT5, PXM/OZ, XCore, Integral, GUI, and other comparable systems; proven capability in system integration and technical troubleshooting.Experience in trade lifecycle management, reconciliation, and exception resolution between front, middle, and back-office systems.Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, SQL, C++, C#, and Java for developing automation tools, system integrations, and data transformation scripts.Strong database design and optimisation experience (SQL/NoSQL); experience building ETL pipelines, custom APIs, and data warehousing solutions.Skilled in Power BI or Tableau for real-time operational and financial reporting.Familiarity with bridging and aggregation platforms such as OneZero, Integral, and XCore GUI.Experience with distributed systems and high-volume data processing environments.Soft SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with trading, compliance, risk, and IT teams.Ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.Resilient and calm under pressure in high-volume trading environments.Highly organised, with a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics or a related discipline.Professional background in FX brokerage, liquidity management, or electronic trading.Fluency in Mandarin.Performance-based bonus scheme with clear KPIs.Exposure to cutting-edge trading technologies and innovation in fintech.Opportunities for career development and training in advanced financial systems.Collaborative and agile working culture.Employment TypeFull-Time, PermanentWork ScheduleMonday to FridayApplication QuestionsDo you hold a degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field?Do you have experience in FX operations, database development, or system engineering?Are you fluent in Mandarin?
