Experience required…
Essential:
- Proven experience in drafting and processing Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs)
- Ability to produce accurate TRO schedules and associated mapping
- Strong understanding of UK traffic legislation and statutory procedures
- Familiarity with local authority processes and public consultation requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Clear and professional written communication for legal and technical documents
- Ability to manage multiple TRO schemes and meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience working with legal teams or solicitors on TRO-related matters
- Knowledge of experimental and temporary TRO procedures
- Understanding of parking policy and enforcement implications
- Familiarity with asset management systems and digital TRO platforms
- Ability to liaise effectively with councillors, stakeholders, and the public
- Awareness of accessibility and equality considerations in traffic orders
- Working knowledge of traffic signs and road markings regulations
- Competence in using GIS or mapping software for TRO plans
