Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of industrial batteries and related products. Operating within a number of industries, they are now looking to bring on a UPS engineer to work with clients across Scotland and the UK within their Reserve Power division. This is a great opportunity for an electrical installations engineer with a background in industrial installations looking to get into an industry with long-term opportunities. ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside fully qualified UPS Engineers across ScotlandInstalling AC and DC power systems from the clients supply to the UPS systems across Scotland and the UK when requiredCommissioning of entire UPS system and completing certification reportsCarrying out routine maintenance and breakdown response of UPS systemsTesting battery systems for conductance, discharge and internal resistanceManaging your own Health & Safety, ensuring safety equipment is used when needed and reporting accidents/near accidentsRequirementsThe company is looking for a candidate who has experience for electrical installations within an industrial setting. It is also an essential requirement for you to have done field-based work. In terms of qualifications, a level 3 SVQ/NVQ or HNC in electrical engineering would be preferrable but they would also be open to similar qualifications. Overtime, the business will train the successful candidate to become a fully qualified UPS Engineer.
