OverviewUK Applied AI Solution Engineer position based in Manchester, England, United Kingdom. Tomoro enables organisations to realise competitive advantage with Generative AI and works with large corporate clients to create AI strategies, build production-ready solutions and integrate them into business processes.ResponsibilitiesAI Solution Development: Build production-grade AI-powered solutions, particularly involving large language models with client partners. You will be hands-on and own the design and build of such solutions.Client Consultation and Communication: Regularly interact with clients to understand business challenges, goals and requirements, and communicate how AI solutions can address their needs.Technical Problem-Solving: Resolve complex technical problems during development and implementation, and collaborate with Tomoro R&D to solve industry-wide challenges.Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance within the team, mentor junior engineers and contribute to team skill development.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other teams (including non-technical) to ensure integrated AI solution development and implementation.Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Stay updated with AI, ML developments to continually enhance solution quality.Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensure reliability, effectiveness and safety of AI solutions through thorough testing.Ethical Consideration and Compliance: Uphold ethical AI standards, data privacy, bias minimization and regulatory compliance; contribute to ethical practices.Client Training and Support: Help clients understand and effectively use AI solutions and provide ongoing support and maintenance as needed.Qualifications & FitStrong hands-on experience in developing production-grade AI solutions, particularly involving large language models (closed & open source, OpenAI API).Experience with building microservices and scalable data pipelines; data technologies (Python, SQL); solution design for data applications.Ability to communicate with clients, understand business processes and translate requirements into AI solutions.Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new tech stacks.Willingness to be client-facing and act as a technical ambassador.Adaptability, self-sufficiency and a proactive, collaborative mindset.BenefitsSalary range: £70,000 – £90,000 + EMI eligibility (Enterprise Management Incentive Scheme)25 days of holiday + bank holidaysAviva private medical insuranceMedicash wellness planLife policyEmployee Assistance Programme (24/7 counseling support)Company pensionAccess to exclusive discount platformCareer CoachLocation & TypeHybrid working policy in Manchester, with travel to client offices as needed for project work.
