Job Title: Undergraduate Submarines Human Factors Engineer
Location: Barrow (Cumbria)

Salary: £24,300
What you’ll be doing:
• Analysing and assessing workload and situation awareness to optimise operator performance through design.
• Planning and conducting user trials to assess developing design and optimise user interaction.
• Developing and analysing Human Computer Interaction (HCI).
• Assessing Human Machine Interface (HMI).
• Using measurements about the human body (known as anthropometry) when assessing spatial layout design, including working with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, immersive VR, and full scale mock-ups.
• Providing human reliability analysis and human factors support to safety cases.

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Design or a related STEM subject.
