Role / Job Title: Vehicle Safety Engineer Work Location: Gaydon / Whitley, UK (On site) Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency) Must-Have: Experience in vehicle safety testing, validation, or lab operations. Familiarity with safety standards (Euro NCAP, FMVSS, UN-ECE) and test protocols. Basic understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems. A degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical, is typically required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in parts and facility coordination. Good-to-Have: Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic control systems and crash test rigs. Knowledge of structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma). Ability to work flexibly across shifts and tight deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork skills across engineering and operations. Responsibilities / Expectations from the Role: Assist in developing and maintaining detailed test schedules for safety validation activities.
