Overview

Vehicle Support Engineer UK/Ireland role at INEOS Automotive. This newly created position will be vital in ensuring customer brand confidence is maintained while identifying process improvement opportunities. The individual will work closely with the global HQ technical team to review repairs, offer direct assistance (remote and in person), compile technical reports, coach, educate and develop both internal teams and our service network, and act as an ambassador for INEOS Automotive.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Customer remains at the centre of all aspects required
  • Work closely with the Aftersales UK/Ireland team and Technical Service Engineering team to implement processes and structures across inter-divisional and wider INEOS Automotive teams
  • Undertake field visits to retailers and customers, support press and special events in UK/Ireland, often with short notice, and respond within internal processes and SLAs
  • Analyse root cause issues to identify opportunities to enhance quality while reducing claims and repairs in collaboration with the technical services team
  • Assist workshops with efficient repair processes using a fix-once, fix-first approach
  • Collaborate with the Call Centre team to ensure post-repair customer contact and total satisfaction
  • Provide direct support to non-Ineos repairers within partner networks and independents
  • Work closely with the aftersales team and wider business on technical, parts and warranty process issues to drive continuous improvement

What we are looking for

  • Automotive aftersales background preferred; strong diagnostic and analysis skills; ability to work to a wide scope of expectations
  • Recognised technical qualification or experience-based equivalent
  • Broad experience across Automotive Technical Service Engineering Aftersales disciplines
  • Ability to use, understand and develop Technical Aftersales tools, diagnostic equipment and best practices
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement – Kaizen mindset
  • Ability to work in both office and field settings with a customer-focused repair and service excellence approach
