Job Title: Vibration Test Engineer
Location: South West (On-site, 5 days/week)

Join a cutting-edge space programme supporting critical testing and validation activities in a high-spec commercial environment.

We are seeking a Vibration Test Engineer to support a major space programme within a leading defence and space organisation. This is a hands-on, lab-based role ideal for someone with experience translating test procedures into practical machining and setup operations in a commercial test lab setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vibration and shock tests on space and commercial hardware using electromagnetic vibration systems and mechanical shock rigs.
• Execute a full range of sine, random, and classical shock test types.
• Translate test procedures and technical specifications into practical test setups.
• Complete detailed test logs and ensure accurate recording of all measurement data.
• Post-process test data and prepare technical reports.
• Review test procedures and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Ensure all testing is performed safely and in compliance with national and international standards.
• Manage calibration and maintenance of test equipment and associated facilities.
• Assist with cost estimation, quotations, and scheduling for customer projects.
• Participate in developing and improving the test facility to enhance efficiency and capability.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing vibration testing in a laboratory environment.
• Strong understanding of vibration and shock testing methodologies.
• Experience working directly with customers and presenting technical information confidently.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts.
• Methodical and accurate approach to test execution and documentation
