Waking Night Senior Homelessness Support Worker

Contract: Permanent | Full-time (Night shifts on rota)
Salary:
£32,000 per year
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people and making a real difference at night?
This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of the people we support during the night across our services in Edinburgh
including young people aged 1625 and individuals affected by domestic abuse.
What Youll Be Doing
Provide overnight support and guidance to our Night Practitioners across various services.
Be the first point of contact for staff during the night, offering advice, reassurance, and practical support.
Visit different services to ensure staff and residents are safe, supported, and well-connected.
Handle incidents, manage risk, and maintain calm and effective responses during crises.
Lead, supervise, and support a small team, ensuring quality care and professional development.
Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to service improvement and reflective practice.

Key Responsibilities
Attend regular team meetings, reflective practice, and case management discussions.
Supervise and support Night Practitioners, including scheduling and leading performance reviews.
Respond to incidents and support staff in managing emergencies effectively.
Travel to different services during night shifts as required.
