Job Opportunity: Pre-Commissioning Engineer – Water Hygiene

Location: London & Surrounding Areas (field-based)

Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 (DOE) + Overtime + Vehicle + Benefits

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Pre-Commissioning Engineer to join a leading water hygiene and treatment specialist, delivering high-quality services across commercial and industrial sites in London and the South East.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong background in pre-commission cleaning of closed water systems to join a forward-thinking company that values expertise, safety, and progression.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-commission cleaning (BSRIA BG29/2021)
• Flushing and dosing of closed-loop heating and chilled systems
• Conduct water sampling and testing (pH, conductivity, biocide levels, etc.)
• Disinfection of water systems in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274
• Produce detailed site reports and flushing certification
• Work with project teams and site managers to ensure delivery to specification
• Maintain high standards of health & safety on site

Requirements

• Proven experience in pre-commissioning and water treatment of closed systems
• Familiarity with BSRIA guidelines (BG29 & BG50)
• CSCS card (essential)
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Mechanical/Plumbing
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and report writing skills
• Willingness to travel to various sites across London and the surrounding areas
