Job Title: Welding Engineer Location: Alness Job Purpose To provide technical support to the Technical Department, Operations, and Project Teams. Key Accountabilities QHSES (Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental & Security) • Ensure that health, safety, security, and environmental requirements are met in all activities. • Provide a safe and healthy working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors. • Ensure safe working practices, use of appropriate tools, and protection of the environment. Activities/Operations • Comply with Health & Safety regulations and client’s corporate policies. • Comply with Company Management Procedures. • Manage documentation related to weld procedure specifications, qualifications, welder qualifications, and welding consumables test certification. • Attend regular operations meetings, safety meetings, and other ad hoc meetings as required. • Review welding specifications at bid stages. • Continuously review and improve welding techniques/procedures to ensure effective service for clients. • Manage project welding procedure qualifications for all client facilities. • Prepare Weld Procedure Qualification documentation and welding manuals. • Perform ad hoc welding inspection duties. • Monitor production welding activities and troubleshoot any issues. • Evaluate causes of welding failures and implement corrective actions where possible. &b...
