Overview

Senior Data Engineer role at MONGOOSE GRAY, based in Newcastle. Full time with hybrid working options. This role requires asking difficult questions, challenging the status quo, and delivering data-driven value for clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage small and large-scale projects lasting from two to ten months.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams.
• Showcase heavy-lifting SQL skills and work with large-scale data.
• Prioritise development to maximise commercial benefit and client value.
• Define the product roadmap working closely with product managers.
• Research and innovate, spearheading initiatives using AWS, Azure, GCP and other cloud platforms.
• Develop, construct, test and maintain complex large-scale architecture, databases and pipelines. Handle raw data and innovate data modelling, mining and abstraction.
• Manage confidential and proprietary information.
• Work with clients and colleagues to understand requirements and keep them engaged.
• Communicate clearly and effectively; demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Computer Science Bachelors and/or Masters.
• Top of your game professionally and socially; able to wow with accomplishments.
• Avid learner; confident; decisive; pragmatic; proactive; team worker; reliable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong analytical and technical abilities.
• Experience with large-scale architecture, databases and data pipelines.

Benefits & Salary

• Salary up to £80,000 plus bonus and benefits.
