Overview

As a Senior Wireless Network Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering robust and optimised wireless connectivity across our production environments—supporting Leavesden and Burbank studios, with additional support for remote sites worldwide. You'll work closely with studio operations, creative teams, and technical staff to ensure secure, seamless, and high-performance wireless networking that supports live shoots, post-production activities, and collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively support all WBD wireless network infrastructure 24/7 by responding to and resolving all requests and trouble tickets within the stipulated SLA time.
  • Clearly understand the root cause of all the wireless network outages and take remediation steps to prevent recurrence.
  • Prioritize work based on business criticalities and be flexible to work on ad hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Fully understand and adhere to the team's network standards and procedures both in technical and functional areas.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all user communities, peers and the management team.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in enterprise wireless network administration, ideally within a studio, broadcast, or creative production environment.
  • Expertise in wireless technologies (WiFi), especially Aruba AirWave, ArubaOS, Aruba Mobility Controllers, and Aruba Instant Access Points.
  • Experience with AAA platforms (Aruba Clearpass), DNS, DHCP, and Radius.
  • Strong understanding of RF principles, spectrum analysis, and wireless security protocols.
  • Familiarity with the demands of production workflows, including high-volume data transfers and real-time collaboration.
  • Process-driven with excellent execution and follow-through.
  • Ability to multitask and self-prioritise in a fast-paced, creative setting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical studio staff.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak production periods.
  • Self-motivated team player with a drive to improve studio infrastructure.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Travel required.

Working arrangement

Hybrid working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
