We are committed to providing excellent client service, supported by leading technology and talent.Aberdeen comprises three businesses, interactive investor (ii), Investments, and Adviser, each of which focuses on meeting and adapting to our clients’ evolving needs:* interactive investor, the UK’s second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.* Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.* Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.**About the Role**This Workload Automation Engineer role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of our Enterprise Workload Scheduling Automation tool which is used across key batch workloads and business platforms. This role would be initially focused managing our current Autosys toolset – Autosys Workload Automation and Automation Analytics and Intelligence running on our premise and cloud architecture.The Workload Automation Engineer would ensure the platform is performant, scalable, secure, resilient and integrated with our business applications and modern workflows. The role would build the platform integrations into key business systems and support the domain teams, providing technical guidance on workload creation, tuning and troubleshooting.Experience in other Workload Automation tools like BMC or Redwood is also beneficial. A key focus would be on the future strategic direction of the tooling, driving towards a Modern Orchestration capability aligned with our Cloud Transformation strategy looking to reduce time to market using Agile Tooling and DevSecOps.The engineer would look to optimise performance, ensure workloads are cost-efficienct and manage the total cost of ownership across the platform and business teams.**Key Responsibilities:*** Proven experience with Broadcom Autosys, Redwood RMJ or BMC Control-M platforms* Ability to automate, schedule and manage workflows including batch processes, file transfers and end to end business processes* Strong understanding of batch processing, job dependencies, and scheduling best practices* Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell* Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise monitoring tools* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.* Strong understanding of security concepts, risk, disaster recovery, software compliance and vulnerability management.* Familiarity with SLA Monitoring, real time alerts and centralised dashboards* Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.* Core Infrastructure Skills in: + Core Operating Systems and technologies – Microsoft, Linux, DNS, LDAP + SQL Server + Base Azure knowledge**About the Candidate:*** Certifications in Autosys, Control-M, or Redwood RMJ.* Experience with cloud-based scheduling or hybrid environments* Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines* Experience in ServiceNow* Knowledge of Agile Framework* Familiarity with financial industry regulations* Experience with Secure Message File Transfer systems (MFT)* Can create and maintain relationships with internal leadership and key business stakeholders, as well as third parties or suppliers* Knowledge of Azure technologies including Azure Data Factory, Power BI, FabricWe are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
