Workshop Engineer (Plant Machinery)

Our client is a well established and successful company. They are looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer to join their team. This will be site based.\nPLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:\n * You have experience of servicing heavy tracked plant machines\n * Solid mechanical aptitude\n * You are comfortable with heavy lifting\n * Proficiency with MS Office\n * Ability to work without supervision\n * To provide support to a range of machinery with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.\nSalary and other benefits:\nSalary: £15.00 - £19.00 per hour + Overtime, paid at time and a half + Many benefits.\nPositive Feedback incentive, 5 pieces of positive feedback will give you a £25.00 Amazon voucher.\nEmployees employee – Yearly nominations with £1000 for the winner, £500 for second, £250 for third.\nHours of work: 40 hours a week\nKey Responsibilities:\n * Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment\n * General Engineering duties which include working at height, beneath and within all JCB machines.\n * Repairing and maintaining machines using lifting equipment supplied.\n * Driving and moving of machines inside and outside of the workshop.\n * Servicing of a wide variety of machines within the workshop.\n * Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems.\n * Complete work to a high standard, promptly and within a given timeframe.\n * Request parts efficiently and effectively.\n * Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.\n * Supervise other workshop engineers, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained.\n * Cover for the foreman when absent or on annual leave\n * Assist in booking machines in and out\n * Ensure the machines are ready for transport collections\n * Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment.\n * Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards.\n * Maintain control of warranty parts returns to the parts department.\n * Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.\n * Carrying out all work practices in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy.\n * All Engineers must ensure that their own tools are safe and legal to use.\n * No lifting equipment (including straps, trolley jacks etc) must be supplied by the Engineer, these items are provided by the Company.\n * Remain flexible to all aspects of the role.\nThis role would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role, such as a Hydraulics Engineer / Service Technician / HGV Technician / HGV Engineer / HGV Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter / Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic / JCB Engineer / JCB Technician / JCB Mechanic / Plant Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Plant Maintenance Engineer / etc
