We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Workshop Engineer
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and servicing of equipment, machinery, and tools within the workshop. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that all workshop operations run efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose faults, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
Ensure all repairs and modifications comply with safety and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service schedules.
Support workshop operations by ensuring tools and equipment are in proper working order.
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of machinery or equipment.
Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and customers as required.
Work in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
Degree, diploma, or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
Proven experience as a workshop engineer, technician, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical principles.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools, workshop machinery, and hand tools.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of health & safety standards and safe workshop practices.
Desirable
Experience with [specific industry equipment/machinery relevant to your company].
Welding, fabrication, or machining skills.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
