Workshop Engineer required. My client is a leading provider of hire equipment across the country and is looking for a workshop engineer to maintain, service and repair heavy plant in their Bedford depot. The ideal candidate will have background experience of working with heavy plant, the role will be repairing and servicing heavy plant in the depot specifically telehandlers and roto telehandlers.

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and reliability.

Workshop Plant Engineer Job Requirements

• Relevant NVQ Level 2/3 qualifications relating to plant maintenance would be advantageous
• Experience in a similar role working on heavy plant
• Based within a commutable distance of Bedford
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
• Experience working on telehandlers and roto telehandlers preferably

Workshop Plant Engineer Salary & Benefits

• £40,000-£44,000 salary dependant on experience
• 52 hour working week (6:00-17:00)
• 23 days holiday plus bank holiday
