2nd Line Support Engineer | Stratford-Upon-Avon | £32,000

Oscar Technology has partnered with a leading MSP near Stratford-Upon-Avon to recruit for a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and dealing with issues raised in the logging system and via phone.
• Providing 2nd line IT support for incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates to application operating systems and anti-virus software.
• Ensure IT policies, procedures and security standards are considered and abided by.
• Assist with data retrieval and backup management, on-site or cloud-based.
• Establish and maintain technical documentation, including technical diagrams and knowledge articles.

Essential Skills

• Extensive knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) and software applications.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management.
• Familiarity with server administration tasks such as user management, file shares and security.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
