Aircraft Maintenance Planning/Job Card Engineer

Job Purpose:
Pre-input planning of customer aircraft line and base maintenance in accordance with MAA Regulatory requirements governing P145 AMO, including the creation of aircraft work packs, issuance of preload, task breakdown, and other scheduled maintenance planning activities. Providing full on-site Planning support to the Production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Review customer work packs for content to ensure within scope of work as detailed in the MOE. Build and assemble scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance work packages, including milestones, resource, and critical path planning. Create new task cards as required, ensuring complex maintenance tasks are identified. Generate equipment summary reports, including access requirements, tooling, parts, and material call-ups. Identify work content requiring the services of external agencies and subcontractors. Review work content in detail, identifying complex, safety-critical, critical path, and other tasks requiring additional P145 AMO regulatory requirements. Check task cards for accuracy and completeness and apply task time estimates. Organise and chair pre-input meetings with multiple stakeholders for all base inputs. Follow MOE and procedures to ensure compliance at all times. Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities. Be aware of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work. Understand aviation safety responsibilities with regards to safety policies. Understand aviation security responsibilities with regards to security policies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in using aircraft technical documentation to plan aircraft maintenance with task and ground time estimation. Good working knowledge of MAA Regulations and CAMO P145 interface requirements. Excellent organisational ability with high-level attention to detail and a logical approach to task sequencing. Previous planning experience in civil or military maintenance/production planning, with base or line. Ability to converse with the customer at all levels of seniority. Good working knowledge of AMOS or similar system in a production planning role. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel at an advanced level.Desirable Skills:
Strong quantitative, analytical, and project management skills with lean management principles. Effective, highly credible communicator, both written and interpersonal. Understanding of financial, commercial, and procurement processes within an aerospace organisation. Recognised aircraft engineering qualification.
