Job Description

We are looking for experienced Airfield Engineers to join our growing Aviation Team to meet increasing demand in UK and International Aviation. We are open to candidate(s) with varying experience levels, but do require some demonstrable industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare airfield pavement designs
• Analyse geotechnical and soil investigation information and request necessary tests
• Undertake geometric and grading design of Runways, Taxiways, Aprons, service roads, etc.
• Undertake storm water drainage and water management system design for airports
• Oversee the production of Civil 3D design of civil works and infrastructure and 3D models for airfield projects
• Coordinate design across multiple disciplines including pavement engineering and structural engineering
• Prepare specifications for civil works
• Prepare feasible, logical and efficient work phasing proposals to carry out construction works
• Undertake civil works design and design reviews covering all stages of design
• Support engagement and management of subconsultants
• Support preparation of tender documentation and client support during procurement for Airfield Civil Works
• Support preparation of methodologies, design proposals, resources estimation for bids
• Ability to travel frequently to the UK and internationally for site visits and to MM UK offices

Senior Roles

• Undertake line management duties
• Lead visits to Airfields in the UK and overseas for construction monitoring and progress reports
• Provide leadership and line management support to Senior and Airfield Engineers in developing airfield designs

Candidate Specification

• Experience in Airfield Engineering Design or management of Airfield Design with good CAD (2D and 3D) capabilities
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages desirable
• Ideally member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or similar, and Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
• Experience in bid and client account management would be advantageous

Candidates may be required to travel within the UK and to selected locations internationally (subject to mutual agreement).
