Based in our purpose-built studio in Banbury, M.A.D.E plays a pivotal role in the Mahindra Global Design Network, shaping the future of electric vehicles and advanced automotive concepts.

Our studio is equipped with the latest design technologies, enabling full-spectrum design capabilities - from initial concept sketches to 3D digital and physical modelling, A-Class surfacing and immersive visualisation. We also house a complete CMF suite, clay modelling studio, and dedicated presentation spaces.

The Role: Assistant Chief, Studio Engineering

As Assistant Chief in the Studio Engineering Department, you'll be the bridge between visionary design and technical reality. Collaborating with designers, clay modellers, digital sculptors and global engineering teams, you'll help bring ground-breaking vehicle designs to life.

What You'll Do

• Champion design intent across engineering teams and global stakeholders
• Solve complex technical challenges with innovative, feasible solutions
• Translate engineering and legislative requirements into design opportunities
• Document feasibility, flag critical issues and propose actionable resolutions
• Mentor junior team members and take on leadership responsibilities when needed
• Represent M.A.D.E in global collaborations - occasional overseas travel may be required

What You'll Bring

• Deep understanding of complete vehicle architecture and engineering
• Proficiency in CATIA, Teamcenter, and A2MAC
• Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, tooling and lead times
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Familiarity with validation processes for vehicle components (desirable)
