We have a brand-new opportunity for an Assistant Civil Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team as part of our evolution in the UK water and drainage infrastructure industry.ResponsibilitiesSupport our Senior Civil Lead Engineer as an integral member of the Design Engineering team.Provide design and technical support for Marshalls Water Management product ranges, focusing on our structural product line offering bespoke water management products and the Redi-Rock retaining wall system.Help to produce drawings, calculations and provide engineering support to a high standard ensuring compliance with Marshalls and wider industry processes and standards.Qualifications and SkillsExpert knowledge within the technical engineering environment.Experience working within a civil/structural design and technical environment.Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction related qualification (degree preferred).Working knowledge of Eurocode 2 design, EN 1992 Part 1-1.Proficient in AutoCAD and Structural Engineering Software (SCIA experience ideal).Ability to communicate and build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.Flexibility to adapt and respond to change.Proven ability to motivate yourself to meet project deadlines.What’s in it for you?Working from your home office or based from one of our local offices (depending upon location).34 days leave per annum (inclusive of bank holidays).Health care cash plan – dental, optical, prescription costs and more.Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay and leave.Training and development opportunities.EE mobile phone discount for friends and family.Cycle to work scheme.Employee discount on Marshalls products.Equal OpportunitiesWhoever you are and whatever your background, at Marshalls you’ll find a fair and supportive workplace.
