Location: Site Based, Plymouth, Devon

Hours: Permanent, Full Time

Your Responsibilities

As an Assistant Materials Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in our Nuclear team, supporting the redevelopment project at the Dockyard. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

Gain a deep understanding of project specifications and the technical aspects of construction materials.
Advise on necessary derogations and amendments to requirements and specifications.
Provide technical guidance on the suitability and use of various materials, including concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
Assist in preparing Material Acceptance Requests and monitor feedback and technical queries.
Coordinate materials specifications and manage supply chain materials during mobilization and execution.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

You have an HND/HNC/NVQ in a relevant subject (beneficial).
A degree in Civil Engineering, Materials, or Earthworks is desirable.
You possess industry-accredited safety training, such as CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
You have previous experience with materials.
