Lead Software Engineer - Hybrid UK - £(phone number removed)

We are helping an innovative technology business scale their Software team in the UK. Their software powers some of the world's leading consumer brands across the digital commerce and experience space. Due to continued growth and demand for their products they now urgently need a Lead Software Engineer to focus on their back end code and infrastructure base. This role would suit a Lead Software Engineer who sees their career in hands on technical leadership and defining how software should work. This role is remote within the UK; they do have an office in central London and the team meet up once per quarter.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for backend systems and infrastructure.
• Define how software should work and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable software.
• Work in a small team and drive initiatives to completion.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of backend JavaScript – Node.js and TypeScript.
• Excellent knowledge of AWS DevOps and infrastructure.
• Some frontend experience with React would be nice to have.
• Experience of working in a small team and getting things done.
