ResponsibilitiesTranslate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including: GA's Planning Drawings, 3D arrangements, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLDs, PFD and P&ID using AutoCAD/Revit & other relevant CAD software.Produce BOM listings to enable specifications, calculations and component selection to be undertaken by others.Take responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the project timescales and necessary quality standards.Collaborate with Project teams to create, update & manage BIM Models in accordance with project requirements & industry standards.Utilise a Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure accurate data management, version control & efficient project collaboration.Work in the Engineering Team to provide both consultative design support and in some instances supporting the installation and construction phase of the project works.To produce project specific installation specifications in order to obtain competitive installation quotations from local M&E contractors. This may include the production of appropriate 2D and/or 3D drawings (Layouts, General Arrangements, planning and piping drawings).Create 3D renders for use in bid documentation.Generate, import & work with LiDAR scans in CAD using Trimble X9 ScannerLiaise with Electrical Design Engineer in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.Support and assist in the development stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided in accordance with required timescales and quality standards.Relevant engineering qualification, i.e. Degree, HNC/ HND or equivalent.QualificationsPrevious CAD experience 2D & 3D.Experience with creating P&ID & layout drawings.Experience working in the Energy sector with knowledge of modelling plant, building energy services or MEP.Experience using LiDAR data within CAD models.Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit & other relevant CAD Software.Knowledge of BIM processes & standards (ISO 19650).Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g Viewpoint, BIM360/ACC or Projectwise).Experience using LiDAR equipmentStrong communication skill & ability to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to manage multiple projects & prioritise workload.Able to adapt to new technologies & software as requiredBenefitsApply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.We\'re proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
