Job post summary Pay: £46,000.00-£51,000.00 per year Job Description: Chief Engineer – Full Time – Wilmslow We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join our Estates team. Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (dependent on experience) Contract type: Permanent, full time Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service, with option to buy/sell leave) Private Healthcare Insurance for treatment at our leading hospitals Private pension contributions that grow with service Season Ticket Loan and Cycle to Work scheme Group Life Assurance from day one Critical illness cover Enhanced Maternity and Paternity pay Corporate staff discounts across our services (including maternity packages at The Portland) Over 800 retailer discounts Comprehensive lifestyle and wellbeing benefits Key Responsibilities Oversee delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to keep the site safe and efficient Manage contracts, liaising with external contractors, raising bookings and supervising their work on-site Carry out regular site inspections, ensuring plant rooms, building systems and fabric are maintained to high standards Respond to issues as they arise, making the area safe and arranging for specialist attendance where required Monitor and operate BMS systems to maintain energy efficiency and address faults Attend and lead monthly meetings with estates and facilities teams, providing updates on compliance and contractor performance Take responsibility for compliance, health and safety, statutory checks and records across the site Support and mentor engineers, ensuring safe systems of work and consistent quality INDSOH About you Strong experience in estates management, facilities or engineering leadership Hands-on technical knowledge with confidence in PPM, compliance and contractor management Familiar with operating and troubleshooting BMS systems Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively Proactive problem solver who can respond quickly to urgent issues and keep the site running smoothly If you are a motivated estates professional looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
