My client, a specialist, forward-thinking Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Drainage and Infrastructure to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, in the industrial, richly-cultural town of Warrington.

Essential Criteria:

* A Degree (or equivalent qualifications) in Civil Engineering * Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design-based role, in a consultancy setting * Experience of having produced drainage strategies and worked on drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) * Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.) * Competent in the use of InfoWorks Civils 3D, InfoDrainage, and similar software packages * The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team * A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:

* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing * Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindset * Some knowledge of flood risk and mitigation

As a Civil Engineer, you will be joining a specialist team of engineers, working on a number of high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

* Contributing to a number of projects, developing drainage strategies and working with other elements of infrastructure * Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard and within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions * Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages * Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models * Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders * Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections * Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations * Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
