My client, an independent, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their established team of engineering and design experts, in the modern, industrial town of Warrington.

Essential Criteria:

* A Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivlent relevant qualification) * A keen interest in flood risk and drainage * Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design-based role, in a consultancy setting * Experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) * Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S104, S106, etc.) * Competent in the use of Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and a range of similar software packages * The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team * A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:

* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing * An analytical mindset * Strong technical skills

As a Civil Engineer, you will be joining a specialist team of engineers, working on a number of high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

* Developing flood risk and drainage strategies for a variety of projects * Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions * Undertaking technical analysis using a range of software packages * Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models * Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders * Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections * Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations * Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
