As our Customer Engineer you’ll visit business customers across your area to help them stay connected and get the best out of our services.We’re not looking for engineering experience; it’s really about customer service. You won’t be digging, lifting or climbing telegraph poles. As part of our Field Service family, you’ll visit a range of business customers from small to large who’ve contacted us for help with their broadband and network connections.Whether you’re based near Warwichshire, Coventry or South Birmingham, you’ll have a daily schedule, uniform, laptop, mobile and a van to get you to customers. A valid manual UK driving licence is essential, with a 90-minute travel expectation.ResponsibilitiesVisit business customers to help them stay connected and make the most of our services.Listen to customers’ problems and carry out initial fault-finding; determine if a simple fix is possible and implement it on the spot (e.g., restart a router, check Wi‑Fi signal strength, move equipment, show how to use an app, set up phone solutions, keep our mobile 5G network running, maintain fixed network).Survey customer sites (including drone surveys – training will be provided).Join the dots by spotting ways to improve the service and report back to the team.Escalate issues to specialist teams when a quick fix isn’t possible and keep the customer informed of next steps.What you’ll do day-to-dayAs part of the Field Service family, you’ll visit a variety of business customers—from pet shops and coffee shops to hairdressers, warehouses and banks—to support their broadband and network connections.Qualifications & RequirementsNo technical experience required, but demonstrate strong customer service, problem solving and a willingness to learn technical skills.
