Overview

An established digital business is looking for a mid-level Data Engineer to strengthen its growing data team. You’ll be working with modern cloud technologies, building data pipelines, and ensuring analysts and data scientists have the high-quality data they need to deliver insights.

Base pay range

Range is provided by Amber Resourcing. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and refining data ingestion pipelines across multiple sources (including web data)
• Supporting the development of analytics-ready datasets
• Contributing to CI/CD processes, testing, and code reviews
• Collaborating with a small team of data specialists in a hybrid setup (2 days per week in Liverpool city centre)

What you’ll bring

• 2–4 years’ experience in data engineering
• Strong Python and SQL skills (with some web scraping exposure)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Knowledge of data pipeline tools (dbt, Airflow, etc.)
• Solid understanding of best practices in coding and data quality
• Must be within commuting distance of Liverpool
