Southam, CV47 Overview: The role of Design Engineer requires the individual to contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the business, providing an effective design service for the product range, in accordance with customer requirements and the company standards. Duties: Prepare design concepts and drawings Liaise with customers and suppliers Control issue and revisions of drawings Source new suppliers as necessary and arrange to visit Prepare drawings for peripheral component parts and assemblies Prepare costing spread sheets and complete a costing template Identify the technical details required for the application and establish the type of materials before carrying out relevant technical calculations Meet with suppliers representatives to discuss their products and services Attend training courses when requested Respond to telephone enquiries from customers and suppliers Key Skills/Experience Required: Several years of proven experience in a similar role/similar industry Proficient in CAD design using SolidWorks DWG Editor and DraftSight Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook Good communication and team player Effective interpretation of instructions Project Management Conscientious, methodical, organised and tidy Flexible and capable of managing changing priorities and tasks Able to use initiative HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering Hydraulic Systems Stage 1 & 2 In return for your hard work, you will earn a competitive salary plus benefits.
