OverviewSenior Desktop Support Engineer – Global Financial Services | London (5 Days Onsite). Our client, a leading global financial firm, is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join their End User Services team in London. This role focuses on hands-on desktop and user support in a fast-paced, global trading environment—covering hardware, software, and user onboarding activities for one of the firm’s largest international offices.ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 2/3 desktop and mobile device support to London-based users (150–200 staff) with global coverage and collaboration.Support and maintain Windows 10/11 environments, including configuration, imaging, and troubleshooting.Deliver VIP support with a focus on responsiveness and precision.Assist with new user onboarding, hardware setup, and workspace builds/breakdowns.Manage ticket queues and KPIs, handling 10–20 tickets per day with ownership from start to resolution.Contribute to project work such as Windows migration and VDI transitionsSupport AV, printers, mobile devices, and meeting room technology.Collaborate with infrastructure and systems teams to identify and escalate systemic issues.Create and maintain documentation for repeatable support processes.Participate in global after-hours rotations when required.Required ExperienceExperience in desktop or end-user support, ideally within financial services or other fast-paced environments.Deep understanding of Windows environments, Active Directory/Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 administration.Hands-on experience with VDI platforms (VMware Horizon, Citrix, or Perimeter Desktop).Strong hardware knowledge (Lenovo, HP, Dell) and familiarity with SCCM imaging.Experience supporting video conferencing platforms and collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, WebEx).Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting connectivity issues.Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and documentation systems such as Confluence.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for VIP and executive support.PreferredExposure to financial market data applications.Experience measuring KPIs or contributing to team performance improvement.A collaborative, adaptable mindset suited for a global, cross-timezone IT organization.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingFinancial ServicesInvestment Management #J-18808-Ljbffr
