About the role

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced, UK engineering team. In this role, you'll help build, scale, secure and maintain the infrastructure behind our growing suite of applications. You’ll work closely with software engineers, product managers and stakeholders to support reliable software delivery through robust CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and modern DevOps practices.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering departments to improve developer experience
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Design and provision resilient infrastructure with an emphasis on security
  • Own the environments from development through to production
  • Anticipate and recommend solutions to operational problems by monitoring system performance and studying operating targets
  • Work closely with the engineering team to manage system lifecycle including change and configuration management
  • Troubleshoot any emergency infrastructure incident to achieve optimal application performance and stability
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the platform to optimise performance, security and cost of operation

What you’ll need

  • To be a team player - working closely across teams efficiently and effectively
  • Experience building AWS-based, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm and containerisation
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
  • Experience of working with multiple AWS services
  • Problem solving skills - identifying, analysing, and resolving complex technical issues, diagnosing root causes and implementing effective, long-term solutions
  • Scripting ability in Python or Bash
  • Monitoring, observability and cost optimisation practices
  • Experience with microservice architecture
  • Working alongside development teams using agile practices
  • Understanding of Linux systems
  • Infrastructure as code such as Terraform
