Role Description

As a DevOps Engineer you will design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions and CI/CD pipelines to support delivery of high-quality software. You will work with Azure, infrastructure as code, automation, and cross-functional teams to enable robust, scalable, and secure environments. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and involvement in complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 3 years of extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including resource management, networking, and security implementations
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools such as Terraform
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and related deployment tooling
  • Comfortable working across Windows and Linux server environments
  • Familiar with server migration processes, including DNS updates, access configuration and decommissioning
  • Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge growth
  • Excellent project estimation capabilities with a track record of delivering complex projects on time
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities

Desirable

  • Competent in SQL for basic querying and support of database-driven applications
  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications
  • Knowledge of cloud cost optimisation strategies
  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ104) or similar
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Background in disaster recovery and high-availability solutions
  • Strong cloud security principles and implementation of security controls in Azure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent senior-level professional experience
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure certifications are desirable

Additional Information

  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance
  • Must be willing to travel within the UK for projects

  • Contribute towards wider Data Practice through pre-sales support, knowledge sharing, and offering accelerators
  • 4+ years of data engineering experience
