Electrical & Automation Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with an industrial machinery business specializing in the design, build, and installation of steel processing equipment, to recruit an Electrical & Automation Engineer based in Sheffield.
The client is an £80m turnover international company focused on ecological solutions for green steel production, digitalization of production processes, advanced automation, linked casting and rolling designs, and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams for electrical plant integration in large projects.
- Lead design, engineering, and commissioning of electrical & automation systems.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications for projects.
- Create compliant design documentation including drawings, specifications, and manuals.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure successful project execution, including reporting on budgets and progress.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning.
- Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for project success and future business.
- Support site commissioning and equipment installation at client sites.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Electrical Controls or Automation Engineering.
- Problem-solving skills and project lifecycle experience.
- Experience in machine design and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of motor sizing and application is desirable.
- Understanding of functional safety systems.
- UK driving license and right to work in the UK; ability to travel internationally.
