An engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical/Senior Engineer Building Services. The company is highly experienced in the specification, design, construction, and management of all engineering services associated with the built environment and is committed to a sustainable future.

Role:

• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs and design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems.
• Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection, etc.
• Carry out (and manage) detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools, including Excel, Dialux, Amtech, and in-house developed tools.
• Represent the organization at meetings with clients and contractors.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, and monitoring of site works.
• Write reports and technical notes.
• Maintain complete records and archives to company standards.
• Adhere to all quality, environmental, and governance processes.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Degree qualified or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
• Experience working in a design consultancy or similar environment.
• Knowledge of electrical design within the built environment.
• Good report writing skills and experience making presentations to and attending meetings with clients.
• Detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards, able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, and act on own initiative.
• Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools, such as Amtech, Relux, Microsoft packages, and CAD.
