:\n\nOur client is looking for a hardworking and motivated Electrician to join their growing team in the Greater Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an electrical background to develop their skills and train to become a Smoke Ventilation Engineer.\n\nFull training will be provided, so no prior experience in smoke ventilation is required — just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.\n\nTo be considered for this role, you must have an electrical background and some commercial experience. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on, and eager to take on a long-term career path.\n\nExperience in the following areas would be a significant advantage:\n\n * Single and three-phase electrical systems\n\n * Electrical control panel fault finding\n\n * Contactors, relays, inverters, and timer relays\n\n * Pneumatics and compressors\n\n * 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous)\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing (Once Trained):\n\n * Install, maintain, and repair Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) systems\n\n * Diagnose and resolve faults in AOV systems\n\n * Read and interpret electrical control panels\n\n * Provide on-site support and guidance to customers\n\n * Complete accurate documentation and reports\n\n * Carry out both electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repairs\n\n * Work at heights\n\n * Participate in the on-call rota\n\n * Occasionally stay overnight for jobs (expenses covered)\n\nWhat’s On Offer:\n\n * Full training provided to become a Smoke Ventilation Engineer\n\n * Monday to Friday – 40 hours/week\n\n * Company van\n\n * Overtime paid at 1.5x\n\n * Employee Assistance Program\n\n * Pension contributions\n\n * 23 days holiday + bank holidays\n\n * Long-term career progression in a growing industry\n\nImportant:\n\n * You must have the right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available\n\n * A full UK driving licence is required\n\n * You must be comfortable working at heights and staying away overnight when needed\n\nIf you're a hard-working electrician looking to step into a specialist and in-demand field, we’d love to hear from you
