Overview

Electro-Mechanical Engineer required for a mobile role based out of Truro, with contracts across the UK. The Service and Maintenance department supports the design and installation of treatment plants, from commissioning to service, optimisation and fault-finding. The role focuses on preventative and reactive solutions with high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake the role of electro-mechanical service engineer for industrial, commercial, and domestic wastewater treatment systems.
  • Carry out scheduled and reactive servicing and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment contracts.
  • On-site fault finding, repair and replacement of equipment related to the wastewater and sewage industry.
  • Create detailed reports of completed works and recommendations for remedial actions.
  • Travel to maintenance or project sites around the UK, independently or as part of a team.
  • Prepare timesheets, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Occasionally assist with projects overseas.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Essential:
    • Level 3 apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
    • 18th Edition certified
    • Full clean UK driving licence
    • Ability to manage projects
  • Desirable:
    • Wastewater background across domestic, commercial and industrial systems
    • PASMA
    • Confined space top and bottom person (medium risk)
    • Blue Card
    • SMSTS/SSSTS
    • First aid

Working for us

  • Salary between £37,000 and £43,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Company van and fuel card.
  • Overtime and on-call rota payments.
  • Holidays: 25 days + 8 statutory days.
  • Probationary period: 6 months.
  • Pension: auto-enrolment after 3 months; employee 5% and employer 5% via salary sacrifice.
  • Private healthcare after probation; Group Income Protection and Death in Service (4 x basic salary) on commencement.
  • Notice period: 1 week during probation, increasing to 1 month thereafter.
