Job Title: Measurement and Test Engineer

Type: Full-Time

Location: Derby/Hybrid (3 days a week on-site)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Measurement and Test Engineer to join our team in Derby. In this role, you will ensure that Rolls-Royce has fit-for-purpose measurement capabilities, solutions, and data for our products to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements. You will be part of a team working on Measurement Systems, Instrumentation, and Sensors with a focus on Electronics hardware and software design.

You will define appropriate instrumentation and measurement system solutions, ensuring that they deliver valid data with the required levels of uncertainty and integrity.

Role Overview

This challenging yet rewarding role involves leveraging technologies to empower our customers, working with gas turbine engines, and providing critical product support for development, operational, and maintenance areas.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop concepts and use engineering design methods to determine optimal product solutions.
  2. Define and validate measurement systems, ensuring accurate data collection.
  3. Maintain customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  4. Implement technical support and continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Create and execute validation plans, providing evidence and reports.
  6. Configure and maintain product and component testing arrangements.
  7. Investigate and troubleshoot measurement-related technical issues.
