Overview Hobson Prior is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to support the operation of a biotechnology company. In this role, you will assist in maintaining and improving utility services and manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth operations. This position requires flexibility and a proactive approach to managing day-to-day maintenance and performance improvements in a highly regulated environment. Help plan and carry out maintenance tasks for building utilities and manufacturing equipment. Supervise contractors performing scheduled maintenance and calibration activities. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures. Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and systems. Monitor and improve equipment performance to meet operational goals. Assist in managing budgets and maintaining critical spare parts inventory. Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements. Ensure all documentation and training are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

Previously worked in a cGMP pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment Knowledge of utility systems such as HVAC, compressed air, and oxygen systems Knowledge of PPMs and calibration activities Right to work within the UK
